Easter. And the recipient of the puzzle book has been requested by Mother Nature to solve a horrendous crime. The mutilation of her Easter bunny! She sent him out with a basket of chocolate eggs. He was to deliver these eggs to McGregor Farm. But he returned in a teeth clenched state of trembling terror! With no eggs! No basket! AND NO TAIL!!!
Fortunately, being Mother Nature, she can give him a replacement tail. But someone in the district of McGregor Farm took the tail off the bunny, and Mother Nature demands to know who. The bunny cannot tell her - he is still in a state of shock. So it is up to you to unravel the mystery. Who is responsible? Was it done accidentally or deliberately? How was the tail removed? And what happened to the basket of eggs?

THE EASTER THEMED PUZZLES

Solving the puzzles will allow the investigator to eliminate suspects, tail removal methods and egg fates until only the guilty items remain.
However the eight underlined puzzles are the suspects' own personal puzzles. The investigator will need to be on their guard, as the suspect who actually took the tail off the bunny will be deliberately providing a puzzle where the solution provides misinformation. After all, they don't want to be caught!

OTHER ITEMS TO DISCOVER
As well as solving the mystery, the detective will need to try and answer the following four questions:
- What person/item they will receive a life size chocolate sculpture of from Swiss Chocolatier Monsieur Cadville Bournton Thornbury (if they can prove his innocence)?
- What disgusting flavoured Easter egg will be laid for them by Priscilla, the human hating goose?
- What number will Irish leprechaun Seamus Greentoes calculate as their personal lucky number?
- Why does Seamus Greentoes think the detective is a very lucky human?
TWO BOOKS EACH WITH A DIFFERENT SOLUTION
There are two different books to choose from - Book 1 and Book 2. Each book has a different solution. For instance in book 1 the Mad March Hare might have used the hedge trimmer to remove the tail, and then eaten all the eggs. While in book 2 Elspeth McGregor might have accidentally taken off the bunny's tail in a lawn mowing accident, at the same time smashing the basket of egg to pieces. Also, where possible, the individual puzzles within the books have different solutions.
This enables you to give a copy of "Who took the tail off the Easter bunny?" to two people living in the same house and each of them will still have their own unique challenge.

MERRYMURDER SWEEPSTAKE
There is also provision in the book to have a merrymurder sweepstake. Before puzzling commences, interested parties can draw suspects, tail removal methods, and egg fates from a hat. When the solution is discovered, those people who drew the guilty suspect, tail removal method, and egg fate can each claim a small prize.
